The New York Giants have stumbled to a 0-2 start to the 2018 NFL season. Needless to say, wide receiver Oell Beckham Jr. is not happy about it.

One of the main reasons for New York's struggles thus far has been the lackluster production from their offense. Beckham says he expects him and this group to be able to reach the end zone in every quarter, via NorthJersey.com:

“I feel like there’s no way you can’t score a touchdown in every quarter, and one somewhere else. It just doesn’t seem unrealistic to me,” Beckham said. “I feel personally, I could score two touchdowns every game. I feel like Saquon [Barkley] could score two every game. There are other people on this team who could score every single game. That’s over 35 points. It’s just a matter of executing it and making it happen, really. But it doesn’t seem out of reach for me in my mind, I don’t want to win 24-21. I’m trying to win 52-18, whatever they score – zero. Nobody said it had to be close.”

Beckham's comments are undoubtedly a bit far-fetched. Even high-powered teams such as the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots very seldom are able to score a touchdown every quarter. However, that does not mean the Giants should still not try to reach for that goal.

There is no question the Giants boast some talented weapons on offense. Beckham has easily established himself as one of the NFL's elite wideouts. His presence alone is enough to draw the majority of the defense's attention. This has allowed tight end Evan Engram to utilize his athleticism to beat man coverage. Meanwhile, running back Saquon Barkley looks every bit the workhorse back the Giants drafted him to be.

Unfortunately, they have been unable to get on the same page thus far and the offensive line has been abysmal, resulting in them losing both games by seven points or less. The Giants know full well the dangers of going too long without registering their first win of the season. They need to find a way to put it together against a Houston Texans team that is also looking for its first victory of the season.
