There was a time when the New York Giants were fixtures in the NFL Playoffs, but over the last seven seasons, the team has fallen into a rut, making the playoffs just once since their Super Bowl victory during the 2011-12 campaign.

However, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. promises that the Giants' slump will soon come to an end:

The Giants went just 5-11 this year, getting off to a putrid 1-7 start. They did have a solid few weeks during the second half of the season, winning four of five games at one point, but they lost three straight to end the year.

To make matters more frustrating for New York, eight of its 11 losses came by just one possession, including back-to-back one-point losses against the Indianapolis Colts and the Dallas Cowboys to conclude the 2018 campaign.

Beckham also missed the last four games of the season due to a quad injury.

In 12 games on the year, Beckham hauled in 77 receptions for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns.

The 26-year-old has seen his last two seasons riddled with injuries, as he played in just four games in 2017 due to a broken ankle.

Beckham made the Pro Bowl in each of his first three years in the league and appeared to be on track to set all kinds of records, but injury issues in 2017 and 2018 have halted that for now.

The good news for the Giants is that they do have some prime young talent, as rookie running back Saquon Barkley has already stamped his name among the best rushers in the league.
