Eli Manning announced his retirement from the New York Giants on Friday and many people are wondering if Manning could join a booth in the offseason. Among the people who shared their opinion, Osi Umenyiora doesn't see Manning becoming a broadcaster.

“I think he’s going to retire very well to be honest. We all know the finances he was able to make,” Umenyiora said with a laugh. “Besides that, his personality, he’s just going to sit down somewhere and chill. I don’t think he’s going to be in the media. I don’t think he’s going to be like a broadcaster, he’s just going to fade off into the background and just chill. That’s how I see him retiring.”

While Manning played in the NFL, the majority of the time he didn't seem to be in the limelight. That was due to his laid-back personality and how he conducted himself off of the field. Not many people know Manning more than Umenyiora; who played with Manning on the Giants from 2004-2012.

On the other hand, Manning also made appearances on Saturday Night Live and commercials. The two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback for the Giants definitely flashed his potential as a comedian on SNL.

Even though he's made appearances on television, the Giants legend doesn't seem like someone who is interested in doing that for a living. However, Manning is an avid fan of football and understands the ins and outs of the game.

With people criticizing the current duo on Monday Night Football, ESPN will undoubtedly consider other options in the offseason. While Manning could consider a commentating job, Umenyiora believes he'll turn down the offers he receives.
