Earlier this week Odell Beckham Jr. said he felt a big reason that he was traded was because of New York Giants coach Pat Shurmur. Shurmur was asked about Beckham's comments on Wednesday and he seemed a bit taken back by the comments asking for clarification that Beckham was blaming him for the trade.

“I really don’t have any reaction, other than I know when the trade was made, we felt like we went through it in a professional way,” Shurmur said via Pro Football Talk. “He was out of the country at the time when it happened. We made efforts to get in touch with him and I know Dave [Gettleman] actually did speak to him.

And I made efforts to get in touch with him, both through phone and text, but he was out of the country. But listen: I’ve said it all along, we’re hopeful he can go to Cleveland and help them win football games and play good football.”

It's a good thing that training camp is starting because hopefully Beckham can focus on the Browns and the Giants can focus on who is in their locker room.

It's clear there is some bad blood between Beckham, Shurmer, and the Giants organization but that isn't who the wide receiver plays for, so it would be best if he just focuses on the Browns.

He can be mad at his former team but that isn't going to help him win games for his new team so it would be best to just focus on what he can control now.
