New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is expected to start in Sunday's matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to Dan Duggan of The Athletic.

Jones, who missed last week's game against the Seattle Seahawks with a hamstring injury, practiced this week and was listed as questionable. Before Friday's practice, Giants head coach Joe Judge was optimistic whether Jones will start on Sunday.

“Look, I'm fairly optimistic,” Judge said before Friday's practice. “At the same time, there is a ways to go and we have to be fair to him. I'm going to talk with the trainers and medical team and coaches to make sure we're all on the same page and do the right thing by this guy.”

However, after giving Jones a final check on Saturday, they officially listed him as available for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Jones, who started the first 11 games of the season, has played phenomenal in his second season in the league. The 23-year-old has completed 63.2% of his passes for 2,335 yards with eight touchdowns and nine interceptions. He'll be seeking to lead the Giants to their six consecutive win on Sunday.

The Giants are currently tied with The Washington Football Team for the first seed in the NFC East with a record of 5-7. The Giants have been on an absolute tear in the second half of the season — winning their last five games. However, their winning streak will be put to a test on Sunday as they face the Cardinals, who are the third seed in the NFC West.
