After a forgettable 2017 campaign in which the New York Giants won only three games and were plagued by injuries, the storied NFL franchise is hoping to bounce back in 2018 with the return of a healthy Odell Beckham Jr. and a potential star in rookie running back Saquon Barkley.

As Barkley prepares for life in the NFL and the added pressure of playing for the Giants in New York, the Penn State product also wants to improve in another area off the gridiron. The 21-year-old wants to get some help for is golf game and would love to learn some tips from arguably the best golfer to ever swing a club, Tiger Woods.

“I need some lessons,” Barkley told TMZ Sports. “I need more than some lessons.”

Although Woods isn't the dominant golfer of old that used to rule the sport, Barkley can certainly learn a thing or two from one of the best to do it. The rookie running back is one of many current and retired professional athletes that love to spend their time on the links when away from their sport of choice.

Michael Jordan, Tony Romo, Stephen Curry, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Larry Fitzgerald, and Patrick Peterson have all shown a love for the game of golf and can be seen on fairways around the country while enjoying retirement or their offseason.

As for Barkley, the second overall pick will begin concentrating on football as OTAs get underway for the Giants. New York is expected to get back on track in 2018 as Barkley tries to prove his worth and the team's reasoning for taking him over a potential successor for veteran quarterback Eli Manning.
