New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley has proven that he is a great talent and that he is going to be an above average running back for years to come. Even with all the success, there has been a lot of questions if the Giants made the right decision taking Barkley instead of taking a running back. Eli Manning has really struggled this year and with Sam Darnold, Josh Allen, and Josh Rosen still on the board, many believed the Giants should have been the team to take Darnold, not the New York Jets.

Barkley was asked if he thought the Giants taking him second overall was a mistake and he said he isn't out there to impress the media, he is there working for his teammates.

“People that believe that, that’s their belief, each his own, everyone has their own opinion,” Barkley told The New York Post. “My job is to make the people in this locker room and the people upstairs, on this team, don’t think it was a mistake to draft me No. 2.

“My honest answer, and not in any arrogant or cocky way, I think just the way I’ve worked, I think I’ve gained a lot of my teammates’ trust and belief that it was a smart decision to draft me.”

It's really unfair to Barkley that he is going to have this cloud over him, especially after the season he is having, but it is there so it's something he is going to have to learn to deal with.
