It's been an exciting offseason for the New York Giants as the franchise has made a major change in its front office and coaching staff. Additionally, there are plenty of players to be excited about as well, as New York has acquired multiple talented prospects. However, all eyes are on Saquon Barkley as he aims to bounce back from an injury-plagued year. On Wednesday, the star running back made a statement that will excite the fanbase.

According to Big Blue View, Barkley claims he feels much better right now than he did ā€œat this point last year.ā€ If that's true, then the Giants' star running back is likely close to being 100 percent healthy. Injuries have held Saquon Barkley back the last two years.

It was painfully obvious last season that Saquon Barkley didn't quite trust his knee. He flashed at times, but he wasn't the same running back by any means. However, he has a great opportunity ahead of him, as the star running back has a chance to be a Comeback Player of the Year candidate in the NFL. That would be an ideal situation for the Giants, as they're going to need his skillset to compete in the NFC East.

With Saquon Barkley at full health, New York can compete with anybody. The offense is likely to run through him, so it's important he's healthy and ready for the 2022 season. If Barkley can provide consistency out of the backfield, then the Giants' offense will be rolling on all cylinders. Keep an eye on this team, as they could be a surprise playoff candidate with a healthy Saquon Barkley.
