The mean streets of Twitter had a field day on Thursday as the New York Giants suffered a 22-21 defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles in what turned out to be a thrilling encounter between these two NFC East rivals. This division hasn't exactly featured some of the best teams in the league thus far, which prompted some folks to rename the division as the “NFC Least”. Thursday's matchup between the Giants and the Eagles pretty much lived up to the billing.
This was a back-and-forth contest throughout, but it was New York that was able to mount a significant advantage at one point in the contest. Needless to say, they were unable to hold on to their lead, as the Eagles came storming back to escape with a razor-thin win. This unsurprisingly resulted in some mockery on social media:
The Giants losing after being up 21-10 is just very NFC Least.

Following Thursday's win against the hapless Giants, the Eagles logged their second win of the season, and have now improve to 2-4-1. This proved enough to take the top spot in the NFC East division, which let's just say, isn't very competitive at the moment.

A random twitter user could not help but throw in the Cleveland Browns in the conversation following this latest development in the “NFC Least”:
Browns better go 4-0 against the NFC East. No excuses. They’re not that bad

Things are somewhat looking up for the Eagles now that they're logged their second win of the season. This is definitely something that can build on moving forward. After all, they're sitting atop the NFC East.
The same cannot be said about the Giants, however. They are now 1-6 as things just continue to get from bad to worse.
