In his first NFL season, New York Giants rookie running back Saquon Barkley has quickly emerged on the season as one of the bright young stars in the league at his position.

Barkley has quickly proven to be a game-changing talent out of the backfield that has shown to be the driving factor of the Giants' offense. Ahead of their Week 15 matchup, Tennesee Titans defensive coordinator Dan Pees spoke highly of the former Penn State product's big ability that is fueled by his impressive speed, according to Jim Wyatt of Titans Online.

“If you ever watch him, he's got another gear. A lot of guys will jump cut, can spin, and do a lot of other things but you don't really worry about them taking it the distance. This guy can take it the distance. Just ask Washington. The guy can run and you can run away. I watched that Washington film when he was running and body was gaining on him either. I mean he ran away from them.”

The play that Pees has pointed out was the 78-yard run against the Washington Redskins during last Sunday's 40-16 win. Barkley made on hard cut behind the line scrimmage that quickly saw him burst through the hole created by his offensive line to which he sped past all the defenders around him.

The 21-year-old has taken his play to the next level over the last month as he has recorded four straight 100 rushing yard performances topped by a career-high 170 rushing yards on 14 attempts and a touchdown against the Redskins. Barkley is a phenomenal talent has the unique combination of speed, power, and quickness that has quickly made him into a star talent in the league.

He has also become the driving force offensively for the Giants as their focal point offensively. If the Titans hope to pull out a win on Sunday afternoon, limiting Barkley's impact will be a major part of the equation for Pees and his defense.
