There continues to be a slew of players in the NFL that opt out of the 2020 season and the New York Giants are adding another to the list. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, wide receiver Da'Mari Scott is opting out of the upcoming season.

Players around the NFL are going to have until the upcoming week to decide whether or not they'll play in 2020. Provided that, there is still going to be a group of players that choose to sit out for the upcoming season due to COVID-19.

With Scott opting out for the Giants, New York now has two players to make that decision thus far. Besides Scott, veteran offensive tackle Nate Solder made the difficult decision to refrain from playing in 2020.

For Scott, he is entering his second season with the Giants in 2020 after having short stays with the Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns. Nearly a year ago, Scott signed with New York in hopes to make the active roster for the team. On the contrary, he would be released and added to the team's practice squad.

However, Scott would be activated to the roster later in the season, recording just two receptions for 22 yards for the Giants. On the other hand, Scott returned six punts for 32 yards. Lastly, he returned four kick returns for a total of 110 yards.

Luckily for the Giants, with Scott opting out, they are fairly deep at wide receiver. New York's current depth chart at wide receiver includes Sterling Shepard, Golden Tate, Darius Slayton, Cody Core, and Corey Coleman.
