The New York Giants have been busy so far this offseason, as they've acquired numerous players to help improve the roster. Considering they're in a weak NFC East division, they have a legitimate shot at making the playoffs next year.

So far, the front office has made some aggressive moves, signing Kenny Golladay, and reeling in Adoree' Jackson after the Tennessee Titans surprisingly released him. However, it doesn't sound like the Giants are finished adding depth to their secondary, as there is mutual interest between the team and former New England Patriot, Jason McCourty, per Ryan Dunleavy.

The 12-year veteran began his career with the Titans, spent one year with the Cleveland Browns, then has been in New England since 2018. He's been a consistent cornerback for most of his career, as he finished last season with 42 total tackles and three pass deflections.

McCourty would bring an excellent veteran presence to the Giants' defense. Bringing him into the mix of the secondary could give what this team needs on defense to make a leap forward in the right direction.

It might come down to a bidding war to acquire McCourty though, as Dunleavy claims the Giants aren't the only ones interested in the 33-year-old cornerback. Not teams are mentioned outside of the Giants, so we can only speculate on which franchises are showing interest.

New England may re-sign him so he can play another year with his twin brother, Devin McCourty. Considering Jason McCourty's age though, he'll be searching for either the biggest paycheck or to sign with the team he feels gives him the best chance at winning another Super Bowl ring.
