Darius Slayton seems to be emerging as an unsung hero for the New York Giants this season. After catching a 22-yard pass from Daniel Jones for a touchdown, Slayton made an incredible catch for his second touchdown against the Detroit Lions.

To begin the game, Jones made a rookie mistake and fumbled the ball for a Lions touchdown. This time around, the rookie signal-caller threw a ball that gave Slayton a chance to make a remarkable play.

In the end, Slayton showed off his strong hands as he corralled the pass while Rashaan Melvin had tight coverage on him. With his two receiving touchdowns in Week 8, Slayton has caught more touchdowns on Sunday than he did in the previous five weeks.

The connection between Jones and Slayton appears to be getting stronger as the season progresses.
