Gilbert Arenas has never been one to shy away from letting his feelings be known. From his comments on Nick Young‘s relationship with Iggy Azalea in the fallout of the D'Angelo Russell incident to his despicable WNBA post, Instagram seems to be Arenas' medium of choice. Now, he's back at it again, but this time it's in support of Kevin Durant joining the Golden State Warriors.
Arenas claims that those who think Durant “is a coward for leaving” are “stupid” because of the situation media has created for Durant and players like him.
“Media has FOOLED you for decades,” Arenas writes, to believe that “if you didnt win a ring you're legacy is incomplete [sic].”
The former Wizards guard added that Durant had “no great choice” since he would either have never been seen as an all-time great NBA player had he stayed in Oklahoma City and not won a title, or been seen as “a coward” for choosing to leave.
For once, Arenas may actually be speaking some truth.
