According to The Vertical’s Woj, The San Antonio Spurs have strong reason to believe that Manu Ginobili will return for one more season, even after declining his $2.9 million dollar player option.

Ginobili, drafted by the Spurs in 1999, has been in the silver and black all his life. If he were to play in another uniform, it would certainly shock the league as well as fans.

Averaging 9.6 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.5 rebounds, Ginobili feels he still has more to contribute to the team who won 67 games this season.

In his final interview after falling out of the conference semi finals round of the playoffs, he told reporters that he would take some time to figure out what he would do, and that his decision would be totally independent of what Tim Duncan had planned.

Of course, it's been an amazing run. We all enjoy playing with each other. I'm so proud of having played with those guys for so many years and winning so many games, and even playing with the new guys.

If there's a reason why you always want to come back and keep being part of this, (it's) because of the amazing chemistry, the good times, and the good people that you play with and spend time with.
