Chet Holmgren led the Gonzaga Bulldogs to a solid 2021-22 season. The Bulldogs ended the season atop the AP poll and made it to the Sweet 16 behind Holmgren. The seven-foot-tall star will officially be a one-and-done and enter the 2022 NBA Draft. He thanked the Gonzaga program and fans in a Twitter post declaring for the draft.

Although the odds of Holmgren going first overall are strong, he doesn't have his heart set on it. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, he prefers to go to a team that offers him a good fit.

“I understand basketball is a business and going No. 1 doesn't mean nearly as much as finding a good fit and the right situation,” Holmgren told ESPN. “At the end of the day, I'm hoping for whatever is best for me and my future, and if that's at No. 1, then that's great.”

Holmgren averaged 14.1 points, 9.9 rebounds, 3.7 blocks and 1.9 assists while shooting 60.7 percent from the field and 39.0 percent from 3-point land (on 3.3 attempts per game) this past season for Gonzaga.

There is a good reason why Holgrem is seen as one of the very best prospects in this year's NBA draft class. The Gonzaga product is the ideal star center for the modern game. His shooting and rim-running are sublime and his defense, especially his rim protection, is terrific. The big question with him is how well he will transition to playing against bigger, stronger players.

The Gonzaga star's wiry frame makes him look like a walking injury risk at the NBA level. Although he may have to add some weight, he has the skills to be a star at the professional level. Whatever team chooses to build around Chet Holmgren will have a very solid prospect.
