Boston Celtics talent Gordon Hayward, who is coming off a brutal leg injury, is working with a renowned trainer to help him return to form.

Hoops Hype had NBA skills coach and Pure Sweat Basketball CEO Drew Hanlen on their podcast for an interview. In it, he discussed what he is doing with the returning Celtics player.

The entire Q&A (or podcast for that matter) is interesting and you should give it your full attention. As for how Hanlen responded to a question about working with Hayward:

He’s doing really well. He’s up to full-speed workouts now, so he’s able to cut and play and do everything; there are no limitations in his workouts. Then, in the next week or two, he’s going to be able to start competing again, which is awesome because then we can begin to make adjustments and do stuff as he starts playing live – that’s super important so we can make sure everything we’re working on translates into games.

Boston is obviously hoping for an as healthy as possible Gordon Hayward next season. Considering how good the Celtics were without him last season, having only had him for minutes of the opening game, this is like adding a top-tier free agent to the roster (again).
