Chicago Bears coach Matt Nagy led his team to the playoffs in his first year in charge, but this season hasn't quite lived up to expectations. Although they had the talent to be among the favorites to win the NFC North, now with two weeks remaining they have locked up the third spot in the division.

There have been some big bright spots for the Bears and Nagy, but there have also been a lot of struggles that can be attributed to the man in charge.

Through 14 games the Bears currently sit with a 7-7 record and are just trying to finish out the season strong. With all that in mind let's grade Nagy's performance this season.

Matt Nagy Grade Through 15 Weeks with the Bears: C-

To come up with the grade for Nagy it was a bit tough because it's hard to differentiate if the Bears are struggling because of Nagy or because of quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.

Nagy's good

Let's start with the good that Nagy has helped lead this season with the Bears. The Bears' defense gives up only 18.1 points per game, which is the third-best in football.  They are also allowing only 324 yards per game, which is eighth-best in the league. It is a good thing the defense of the Bears is strong because otherwise Nagy's grade this season might be F+.

They also did get out to a fast start to the season winning three of the first four games and during that time they looked like one of the best teams in football.

Nagy's Bad

The biggest issues for this team surrounding Trubisky and his inability to play consistent football for the Bears, and a lot of that falls on Nagy. When the Bears have struggled on offense this year, Nagy has had issues changing gameplans to try and help their struggling quarterback.

The Bears have also had issues establishing a run game and that falls on Nagy. The team is averaging only 85.6 yards per game on the ground, which is 29th in football.

David Montgomery has shown flashes of being the next great running back for the Bears, but Nagy has not used him properly to help the offense.

Trubisky's struggles have been a big reason for Nagy's failure this year, but this has also been a failure on the coach's part to change up the offense—which is why he is earning such a low grade.
