DK Metcalf was one of the most hyped up prospects in the 2019 NFL Draft class. After images of his ripped body went viral, many fans and media members started expecting the Ole Miss wide receiver to go high in the first round. That did not end up being the case.

After a massive slide in the draft that saw him fall to the second round, the Seattle Seahawks swooped in to end the slide. Seattle chose Metcalf with the No. 64 overall pick. It was a long slide, but Metcalf couldn't have asked for a better situation.

Through the first 14 games of his NFL career, Metcalf has already been making an impact. He has had the luxury of Russell Wilson throwing him the football, but he has made some plays with his size and athleticism.

On the year so far, Metcalf has caught 52 passes for 819 yards and six touchdowns. He has averaged 15.8 yards per reception. Those numbers are impressive for a wide receiver who received criticism from some who thought he couldn't run NFL routes and would only end up being a straight-line threat.

Standing in at 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds, Metcalf has provided Wilson with a massive target to work with. He has complimented fellow wide receiver Tyler Lockett perfectly. Both receivers have speed, but Lockett is quick and shifty while Metcalf will go up against defenders and make plays on the football.

Seattle seems to have found themselves a potential star in the making. He still has a lot of work to do and could work on running crisper routes, but he has been very successful thus far. Opposing defenses have not found ways to shut him down yet, even with the flaws that he does have in his game.

Metcalf has been a big part of Seattle's offense and helping Wilson in his quest to compete for the MVP. Unfortunately, Lamar Jackson has that award wrapped up, but Wilson has put up a career year. The future could not be brighter for the Seahawks' offense.

Grading Metcalf at this point in the season is a fairly easy task. He hasn't done enough to deserve a perfect grade, but he has absolutely done enough to warrant a quality grade. Let's go ahead and put a letter grade on his performance through 14 games.
