With the 80th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos selected tight end Greg Dulcich from UCLA.

With Denver shipping off TE Noah Fant to the Seattle Seahawks in the trade package for Russell Wilson, the Broncos were suddenly much thinner at the position. The Broncos trading away Fant meant that they were confident in Albert Okwuegbunam's ability to be a playmaking tight end. They also signed career journeyman Eric Tomlinson to a one-year deal. Tomlinson has never been an offensive threat, but he does provide some depth as well as help blocking in the run game. The addition of Dulcich helps add additional depth as well as another receiving option outside of Okwuegbunam in two-tight end sets.

Per PFF, the 6'4″ Dulcich was one of the best all-around athletes for tight ends in the draft. In his four year career at UCLA, he had 1,353 total receiving yards, 77 receptions, and 11 touchdowns. He also averaged an astounding 17.6 yards per catch average.

Dulcich was a walk-on at UCLA. Throughout his college career, he progressed athletically and added 40 pounds of weight and muscle. Dulcich has room for improvement in the run blocking department. He possesses poor hand placement and struggles with his fluidity when blocking.

While he possesses great speed and physicality after the catch, he could use improvement again with his fluidity through turns in routes. Greg Dulcich will provide a shot of adrenaline to the Broncos' offense as he rumbles down the field after a catch.
