Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott gave an enormous amount of gratitude to fans after a shocking comeback win against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Cowboys were set to fall 0-2 as time dwindled in the fourth quarter. They opted for the bold route however, going for a daring onside kick that resulted in possession and a later 46-yard field goal by Greg Zuerlein to seal the win with a final score of 40-39. The Cowboys had trailed going into the half, and they were highly favored to lose the contest as well. This is also the first win for head coach Mike McCarthy during his stint with the Cowboys.

Prescott was no minor feat in the matchup against the Falcons, as he threw for 450 yards and one touchdown. His most important moment though may have come after deciding to re-enter the game after a roughing-the-passer penalty by Deion Jones. Prescott also became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw more than 400 yards while also rushing for three touchdowns in the same game.

Due to COVID-19, the number of fans in stadiums has been limited on a team-by-team basis. A smaller number of fans or the absence altogether of them may have seen the Cowboys unable to rally back if Prescott's words hold truth.

Matt Ryan was proven to be nearly unstoppable throughout the game as he threw four touchdowns on 273 yards. A portion of his performance was credited to the Cowboys demise as they couldn't keep possession throughout the game with four fumbles.

The Cowboys now improve to 1-1 as they move into Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks.
