Amid the quarterback drama surrounding Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers had a very successful draft.

Following two consecutive NFC title game appearances, Green Bay had some holes to fill. The selections they made have all been for positions of need unlike last year's draft where they took quarterback Jordan Love.

Here's a look at the Packers' 2021 NFL Draft and their grade for each selection:

1st round

Cornerback Eric Stokes: B+

It was apparent that the Packers needed to upgrade at cornerback following that NFC Championship game. Eric Stokes projects to be a great scheme fit and will likely be the Day 1 CB no. 2.

With Jaire Alexander on one side and now Stokes on the other, the Packers' secondary could become elite. They already have great safeties in Darnell Savage Jr. and Adrian Amos, so the speed of Stokes will help elevate the defense. His zone and man coverage versatility provides them with a true great cornerback to pair alongside Alexander.

2nd round

Offensive lineman Josh Myers: B-

After losing pro bowl center Corey Linsley in free agency, Green Bay needed to replace him. Josh Myers gives them another versatile lineman who can play center and guard. He wasn't the top lineman, but his versatility and play style makes him a good fit for Matt LaFleur's scheme.

Myers is a strong run blocker that should help get the offensive line back to their success last season. He is already a leader on offense, as he made the calls up front in college.

3rd round

Wide receiver Amari Rodgers: A

The Packers finally drafted a receiver. It may not be a first-round receiver, but he is a very talented player and will fit well in the offense.

General manager Brian Gutekunst traded up to select Amari Rodgers with the 85th pick in the draft. He is a slot receiver who can line up anywhere on the field. Moreover, he is a solid route runner with a great work ethicā€“which he showcased when he came back from a torn ACL in 166 days.

Rodgers is also a great returner, which is something Green Bay needs. He will be a solid receiver and should be able to make an impact for the Packers right away.

4th round

Offensive lineman Royce Newman: B

Another lineman heads to the Packers. With David Bakhtiari suffering a torn ACL back in December, it is wise of Green Bay to draft depth. Royce Newman is another offensive lineman who provides versatility as he can play tackle or guard. He is a solid run-blocker and has improved as a pass-blocker over the past few seasons.

The Packers have done exceptionally well when drafting offensive lineman. Three of the last four lineman they have selected in the fourth round have gone on to be pro bowlers. It's safe to say Newman is in good hands in Green Bay.

5th round

Defensive tackle Tedarrell Slaton: B

One of the main reasons holding the Packers back from being an elite defense was the lack of run stoppers. With that said, Tedarrell Slaton should be able to instantly help the team in that department. He will be on the other side of star defensive tackle Kenny Clark, which will make for a great duo.

With the improved secondary and bolstered defensive line, Green Bay could turn into a top defense.

Cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles: C+

Green Bay takes their second cornerback of the draft in the fifth round. Jean-Charles adds more depth to the position, which the team needed. However, Jean-Charles' lack of speed concerns many.

In a defined role, he should be able to have some success for the Packers due to his great instincts and ball skills.

6th round

Offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen: C+

A third lineman heads to Green Bay in the draft. It is obvious the Packers wanted to add depth at the position, and they did. Van Lenen increases this depth and could serve as another versatile guard and tackle. His experience at both tackle and guard should help him translate well to the NFL level.

Linebacker Isaiah McDuffie: B

Krys Barnes and Kamal Martin were solid rookies last season, but adding another linebacker to the room brings competition. After cutting Christian Kirksey after one season, they needed to bring in a linebacker for that extra depth as well.

McDuffie is a hard worker that brings toughness and intensity every time he is on the field.

7th round

Running Back Kylin Hill: B-

Green Bay brings in a running back with their last selection. With a one-two punch of Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon at running back, Green Bay adds Hill who can bring another change of speed. Hill is known for his violent and powerful running style. He should complement Jones and Dillon well, and head coach Matt LaFleur should be able to find a way to use him.

Overall, the Packers nailed this draft. There is still uncertainty regrading Rodgers, but the talent on the team definitely grew through this draft.
