The Green Bay Packers are coming off their worst loss of the 2019 season. A 37-8 blowout by the San Francisco 49ers certainly knocked them back down to Earth.

However, they are still 8-3 and in first place in the NFC North, so things aren't exactly going “bad” for them.

Now they have a chance for a big bounce-back game. Going up against the New York Giants in Week 13 can certainly help their confidence. However, a loss to the 2-9 team could absolutely demolish it as well.

Green Bay's defense stepping up could leave no doubt in this game though. So here are three bold predictions for the Packers' defense in Week 13 against the Giants.

1. Four-Plus Sacks

The Packers aren't going to blow anyone away with their sack totals. In fact, they have 28 on the year, that's 17th in the NFL. So, like I said, they aren't wowing you with the numbers.

However, the Giants aren't going to impress you with their ability to stop the pass rush either. New York has allowed 35 sacks this year, that's the 10th most in the NFL.

So it's a battle of a mediocre pass rush going up against a not-very-good offensive line.

That sounds like Green Bay at least has the advantage.

They do have some very talented pass rushers as well. Almost all of their sacks have come from two players. Preston Smith has 10.5 sacks and Za'Darius Smith has 10. That's 20.5 of their 28.

Those two have created a very formidable duo. And a duo that could definitely terrorize a struggling offensive line with a rookie quarterback that sometimes shows very poor decision making. If they can take advantage of that, they can win.

2. Three-Plus Turnovers

Speaking of that rookie quarterback for the Giants. Daniel Jones has been pretty good overall in 2019. However, he's also been a turnover machine.

Jones has 17 touchdown passes and two more rushing touchdowns in 10 games. That being said, he also has eight interceptions and an absolutely ridiculous 14 fumbles.

With that in mind, it's really not crazy at all to suggest he might turn the ball over a few times.

Oh, and if you want even more of a reason why, the Packers have been one of the best teams in the NFL when it comes to creating turnovers.

Their defense has 16 takeaways. While it's not a crazy amount, it's still 10th best in the NFL.

The Packers can definitely get to Jones, and that will create turnovers. Those turnovers could create a win for Green Bay.

3. A Defensive Touchdown

Za'Darius Smith, Packers

Turnovers give a team a much better chance of winning. If they aren't turning the ball over but are creating a bunch themselves, it's hard to see them losing.

The Packers have been good at not turning the ball over, and the Giants have had major issues in that category.

If Green Bay creates a few turnovers, they could find their way into the end zone on defense. Especially considering Jones is so prone to fumbling the ball. The quarterback fumbling often is just begging for the opposing defense to scoop and score.

Green Bay has a bunch of playmakers. Don't be surprised if one of them makes a game-changing play like scoring a defensive touchdown against the Giants.

That will definitely help them walk out of Week 13 with a win and move them to a 9-4 record in 2019.
