Despite being on the other side of the country, Gregg Popovich still made sure he attended the memorial for his good friend, Craig Sager.

The San Antonio Spurs‘ head coach skipped his team's morning shootaround on Tuesday as they prepared for their matchup against the Houston Rockets in the evening and flew to Marietta, Ga. to pay his final respects to the veteran sideline reporter.

Popovich and Sager have shared a lot of unforgettable moments together especially during interviews where the two would share a good laugh and bring joy to the viewers watching them.

Sager passed away last Thursday after a long, courageous battle with Leukemia. The NBA community has mourned his death and given a lot of tributes to him over the past couple of days.

Popovich made his way back to Houston after the service and got there in time before tip off.
