The Memphis Grizzlies' Chandler Parsons is easily one of the most disappointing players in the NBA. After leaving the Houston Rockets to become the go-to-guy for the Dallas Mavericks, Parsons' career has been plagued by a never-ending string of injuries, each more serious than the previous one.

Parsons has shown that he will never be a consistent player for any NBA team, yet the Grizzlies signed him to a four year $94 million deal in 2016. This season, Parsons will make approximately $23.5 million. So far, he has only played 60 games during his tenure with the Grizzlies.

With all of the injuries hindering Parsons' production, some people have made rumors that the Grizzlies have asked Parsons to retire. As such, his agent responded with a definite answer, according to Ronald Tillery of the Commercial Appeal.

Chandler Parsons’ agent James Dunleavy on Grizzlies potentially asking for injury retirement: “That couldn’t be further from the truth. He’s looking forward to getting back on the court.”

Although Dunleavy has shut down any rumors of Parsons asking for an injury retirement, no one knows when the latter is going to return for the Grizzlies. After suffering a knee injury, Parsons has missed a chunk of the team's schedule. Without a balanced scoring effort, the Grizzlies have been even more disappointing.
The Grizzlies and Parsons are stuck with each other for at least two more years until his contract expires. No one is likely to trade for Parsons' bad contract anytime soon. With a constant influx of rumors going on, no one is sure of his future on the Grizzlies and in the NBA.
