Memphis Grizzlies forward Chandler Parsons has been officially cleared to return from injury. However, Parsons and his camp are clueless to when the Grizzlies will let him play in a regular season game.

“He is dying to play,”Chandler Parsons' agent James Dunleavy told the Commercial Appeal.

Parsons was asked recently by the organization to take on a G League assignment with the Memphis Hustle. He declined, as he was offended that the team would not designate a period in which he could rejoin the Grizzlies.

However, given Parsons' injury history, the team needs to be sure of a certain level of durability before reactivating him.

The Grizzlies' last official update on Parsons' injury came on Dec. 12 and it notified of Parsons' continued recovery from right knee soreness. That update said another potential update would be given in around two weeks.

Parsons prefers playing in 5-on-5s during practices rather than joining the G League for an unspecified period of time.

It's not that Parsons wouldn't join the Hustle or play and practice with them, he just wants answers to when he might be activated.

His agent Dunleavy has been quite clear on their feelings towards the front office's passive behavior:

“But we weren't going to send him there without a plan and they didn't want to commit to an exact amount of time. Ridiculous request for a proven veteran player in this league. And you can quote me on that.”

Parsons, on his career, has averaged 13.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 37.6 percent from deep. Parsons has missed a total of 123 games over the past three years for Memphis.

The Grizzlies are 18-16 on the season and currently sit 10th in the NBA's Western Conference. They will face off next against the Boston Celtics at home this Saturday.
