Memphis Grizzlies forward Chandler Parsons rather unexpectedly drew the ire of former NBA player-turned-analyst Stephen Jackson, who called Parsons out for head coach Dave Fizdale’s firing.

Jackson sent out an Instagram post specifically pointed at Parsons, whom he accuses of not caring about winning. He even added the comment “Fire Chandler Parsons” for anyone who was still unsure who the $100 million man Jackson was referring to.

Parsons commented on the post to defend himself from Jackson’s accusations. He cited his three knee injuries and tried to appeal to Jackson by pointing out that the NBA is a brotherhood.

But Jackson wasn’t having any of it. He continued to go at Parsons, saying he’s still better than the Grizzlies forward right now and that other players would pick Jackson as a teammate over Parsons.

Jackson later clarified that he doesn't have any beef with Parsons. He went on to rationalize why he said what he said, saying he loves the game and hates it when players — and not just Parsons in particular — don’t give it their all.

He then ended his rant by wishing Parsons good health.

This whole incident seems right on brand for Jackson, who does not seem to be afraid of ruffling any feathers with his harsh, but brutally honest takes. And since Parsons can't persuade Jackson to change his stance on him on social media, he'll just have to let his play on the court do the talking.
