Memphis Grizzlies swingman CJ Miles left Saturday night's road game against the Washington Wizards after he appeared to injure his left foot in the first half.

According to Michael Wallace of Grizzlies.com, head coach J.B. Bickerstaff said that the 31-year old sniper will be re-evaluated when the team returns to Memphis.

Reports also noted that X-rays on his foot returned negative, but the Grizzlies will proceed to give him further tests to find out the extent of the injury. The Grizzlies have a three-day break before they face off against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday at home. However, Miles' status should remain questionable for that contest.

CJ Miles played just 10 minutes against the Wizards and went scoreless, failing to connect on all his four shot attempts.

This comes on the heels of a 33-point eruption in their previous game against the Atlanta Hawks. Miles went 11-of-16 from the field and knocked down eight three-pointers in the 132-111 loss.

Miles was acquired by Memphis at the trade deadline in the deal that sent former franchise star Marc Gasol to the Toronto Raptors.

The sharp-shooting lefty had seen his role dwindle in Toronto with the addition of Danny Green, who figures to be a better option given his 3-and-D capabilities. He averaged just 14 minutes per game in 40 appearances with the Raptors in 2018-19, compared to nearly 19 per game the season before.

So far, in 12 games with Memphis, Miles has seen his minutes bump up to 23.7 per game. His scoring output also rose from 5.5 points per game in his time with Toronto this season, to 10.1 points per game with Memphis.
