Memphis Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks will likely miss the remainder of this season due to a right toe injury, according to a report from Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Brooks, now 22 years of age, will undergo a medical procedure, but he's expected to recover in time for summer workouts:

Brooks, who is wearing a walking boot for precautionary measures, injured his toe late in Saturday's loss to the San Antonio Spurs. He was held out of Monday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans due to his ailment, marking the 22nd game he has missed this season.

In his 18 appearances with the Grizzlies this season, Brooks racked up averages of 7.5 points on 40.2 percent shooting from the field (37.5 percent from beyond the arc), 1.7 rebounds and just under one assist (0.9) in 18.3 minutes per outing.

With Brooks likely out for the rest of this season, Justin Holiday will likely see an uptick in his usage rate. Kyle Anderson, who recently posted his first triple-double, will also be called on with more frequency.

The Grizzlies (18-22 and fourth in the Southwest Division standings) will be back in action on Wednesday night, when they'll welcome the Spurs to town. Tip-off inside FedExForum is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.
