Garrett Temple is heading to his seventh team after the Sacramento Kings agreed to a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies. But the eight-year veteran is happy with the way this trade went down.

Temple appeared on the HoopsHype Podcast with Alex Kennedy to discuss his trade from Sacramento. Temple mentions how the deal went down and how he found out about the trade. Temple said:

“Somebody texted me a picture of Woj's tweet. Then I went on Twitter and looked it up and that's how I found out.”

NBA players, they're just like us! Temple found out about the trade via Twitter which may seem crazy, but he wasn't completely blindsided by the news.

He was told by the Kings front office that he may be involved in a trade during his exit interview.

“We had conversations at the end of the season. I knew which way the team was looking to go in terms of even more youth-oriented than we did last year. We have two guys at the same position I play in terms of the two guard. They're young guys that need to get reps. I was told by the front office, very candidly, that they were going to be focusing on the young guys which is understandable.”

Temple's professionalism shines through. The 32-year-old understood the situation that Sacramento is in and this move sounds like it benefits both parties. Temple can now go play for the Grizzlies, who hope to compete next season, while the Kings can focus on the youth movement.

The NBA offseason moves at a rapid pace and the Temple trade is yet another example of that.
