The Memphis Grizzlies just took the Oklahoma City Thunder to school like they have never done before to a team in their 27-year history. They led the Thunder 72-36 at halftime, the largest halftime lead they've ever reached. It is also tied for the largest deficit in the Thunder's 55-year franchise history.

De'Anthony Melton led the charge with 17 points off the bench, making all seven of his shots in the first half. Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 15 points and Tyus Jones tallied 10 points and five assists. Memphis shot 29-47 (61.7 percent) from the field, including 8-13 from beyond the arc.

Luguentz Dort led the Thunder with 10 points at the break. He was the only player on Oklahoma City to record a double-digit point total through the first two quarters. Two of their starters — Darius Bazley and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl — went scoreless. The Thunder shot 10-41, or 24.4 percent, from the field. The score of this game after the third quarter: 113-62.

The Thunder's star guard, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, is out with a concussion, making this feat a tad less impressive. However, the Grizzlies are without their star guard, Ja Morant, as well. Morant is out with a knee injury for a few weeks.

Memphis is about to be 3-0 in the three games since Morant went down and post a 12-10 record on the season. This is a great sign of the depth they have as a team, though their wins have been against teams with losing records. They'll play their first winning team without Morant on Saturday when they face the Dallas Mavericks.
