Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies continued their impressive hot streak on Friday night as they beat Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets. By no surprise, Ja was a huge factor, dropping 38 points, while his running mate, Jaren Jackson Jr, made a big impact as well, scoring 20, notching four steals, and grabbing six rebounds.

Following the game, Morant fully endorsed Jackson as a clear candidate for DPOY and made it extremely clear that people need to stop overlooking the Grizzlies big man.

Via Grizzly Bear Blues:

Just a few days back Morant called out the haters when the latest defensive rankings came out, with Jackson's name nowhere to be seen:

JJJ is one of the best shock-blocking bigs in the NBA right now and he has a 105.3 defensive rating this season, which isn't far behind the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Rudy Gobert. The Grizzlies center is registering 2.2 blocks per game and is a huge part of Memphis's success this season, especially defensively.

There's no doubt it's going to be tough for him to win DPOY when the competition consists of Draymond, Gobert, and Giannis, but Ja just wants to see his teammate actually be in the conversation. Jackson deserves it.
