Ja Morant is brimming with confidence after his team blew out the Golden State Warriors in Game 5, so much so that the injured superstar guard even boldly declared a series victory for the Memphis Grizzlies.

With Morant sidelined due to a knee injury, the Grizzlies were largely expected to get knocked out of the playoffs in Game 5. The Warriors were leading 3-1, and Wednesday's game was supposed to be a huge closeout for them. Instead, Memphis responded with a big game and crushed Golden State with a 134-95 drubbing to force a Game 6.

Sure enough, Morant was ecstatic after the win. During the celebrations on their home court, he could even be heard shouting ā€œGrizz in 7.ā€

Now that is some next-level confidence right there, and who can blame him? Ja Morant has every reason to believe that the Grizzlies can overcome the current deficit they are facing, force a Game 7 and even win.

They showed in Game 5 the mental resilience and never-say-die attitude they have been showcasing throughout the 2021-22 regular season, and if there is any team who can recover even after getting down big, it's the Grizzlies. They are the second-seeded team in the west for a reason.

Of course, the Grizzlies have to walk the talk and respond once again come Game 6, this time in a hostile environment. However, they sure look more than ready for it after nearly pulling off an upset in Game 4 and then dominating Game 5.
