Ja Morant missed the Memphis Grizzlies' final three playoff games this 2022 after sustaining a knee injury in Game 3 against the Golden State Warriors. Now, after their postseason exit, all the attention turns to the young superstar and how long he'll be out or if he'll need surgery.

Morant had a bone bruise in his right knee, which forced him to sit out even the closeout Game 6 that ended their season. The Grizzlies believe he suffered the injury after Jordan Poole grabbed his knee and yanked it late in the fourth quarter of Game 3.

Fortunately, according to Grizzlies GM Zach Kleiman, it doesn't look like Morant will need surgery to address the issue. The Memphis exec also highlighted their expectations that the 22-year-old will be 100 percent ready when training camp for the 2022-23 season begins, per Chris Herrington of The Daily Memphian.

For what it's worth, head coach Taylor Jenkins also expressed belief before Game 5 of the Warriors series that Ja Morant wouldn't need surgery. And by the looks of it, that is really the case.

While he recovers from his injury, though, Morant has other important things to settle in the offseason. He is eligible to sign an extension with the team, and the explosive guard did share his desire to be with the franchise long-term.

The 2022 summer is set to be an eventful one for Ja. Hopefully, he recovers fast and get the bag that he worked hard to earn.
