The Memphis Grizzlies are clear sellers entering the trade deadline, already willing to part ways with their two pillars, Mike Conley Jr. and Marc Gasol. Forward JaMychal Green could attract “significant interest” from teams, while Memphis has tried to engage several teams in a deal involving Chandler Parsons — most notably the Atlanta Hawks, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Parsons was cleared for basketball activities on Dec. 21, but the team has chosen to no longer play him, now in virtual limbo until the Grizzlies are able to find his next destination.

Most teams around the league view Parsons' contract as dead weight, as the forward has showed no signs of effectively recovering from a slew of injuries that have plagued him since signing with Memphis in 2016. His four-year, $94 million deal still has two years and $49 million left in it, including this season and the next — a bill that most teams would pass on paying.

Green, however, boasts enough promise as an able big man — and his $7.7 million expiring contract could receive interest from frontcourt-thirsty teams looking to make the postseason.

It won't be easy moving Parsons, but Green's upside as a double-double threat and perimeter shooter can be the pot-sweetener in negotiations before the deadline hits.

Memphis will have less than three weeks to get a deal done and while the choices are few, coming to the resolution that is time to sell might be the start of some wheeling and dealing before Feb. 7.
