NBA players usually react negatively to their rating in NBA 2K, but not Jaren Jackson Jr. The Grizzlies rookie took to Twitter to let his momma know that he finally made it. Not only did Jackson make it into the game, he received a favorable rating for a rookie.

JJJ received an overall rating of 78, which is pretty good for a rookie. Out of the rookies so far, Jackson falls right in the middle. So far, Luka Doncic and Deandre Ayton are rated 79, Marvin Bagley III is a 78, and Trae Young is a 77.

Jackson, 18, was the fourth overall pick in the draft and he looks like a budding superstar. The former Michigan State Spartan could be the face of Memphis' franchise for years to come. JJJ averaged 11.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.

He joins Mike Conley Jr. and Marc Gasol in Memphis as the Grizzlies are coming off a disappointing season. Conley was injured and out for the year after 12 games. The window on Conley, 30, and Gasol, 33, could be closing. Jackson will eventually inherit the team from this duo.

The window may be closing and the loaded Western Conference makes a playoff run unlikely in Memphis. There are at least 12 or 13 teams vying for a berth in the Western Conference playoffs and the Grizzlies will have to jump a few talented teams if they hope to make the final eight.

The thin frontcourt of the Grizzlies will certainly allow for Jaren Jackson Jr. to get ample playing time — even as a rookie.
