Memphis Grizzlies big man Jaren Jackson Jr. sees a lot of Allen Iverson in rookie point guard Ja Morant.

Jackson says Morant “has that kind of swag” that Iverson had during his Hall of Fame days.

“I tell him he be fallin' like Allen Iverson,” Jackson said, via ESPN. “He has that kind of swag to his game just like A.I. But I don't think A.I. was jumping like that.”

Morant has been nothing short of spectacular this season for the Grizzlies. He’s averaging 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 7.2 assists while shooting 48.9 percent from the field, 39.1 percent from beyond the arc and 78.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Iverson is one of the greatest players in NBA history. Ja has that speed which Iverson played with during his career. The Grizzlies guard, however, also plays above the rim like Russell Westbrook and MVP Derrick Rose.

Memphis is indeed very lucky to have Ja as its new franchise player in the post-Mike Conley era. The Grizzlies drafted Morant with the second overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Morant has a chance to win the Rookie of the Year Award since No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson missed a bunch of time rehabbing his knee injury. Moreover, the sensational rookie has the Grizzlies in the playoff picture when no one picked Memphis to reach the playoffs before the season started.
