Ja Morant carried his Memphis Grizzlies to a clutch victory over the Warriors in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals with an electric 47-point explosion. Memphis had to win Game 2 or they would have been forced to head to Oracle Arena down 2-0 in the series. Morant's valiant effort led the Grizzlies to the big win. But Ja wasn't the only Morant making headlines, as his father Tee Morant has been all over the news as well. Some have ridiculed Tee Morant for being too animated at times. But ESPN's Kendrick Perkins dropped a brutally honest truth bomb on Tee Morant and other NBA fathers.

“A lot of us in the African American grew up without a Father,” Perkins wrote on Twitter. “The fact that people have negative things to say about Tee Morant and Lavar Ball is very disturbing to me! Let those African American fathers be GREAT. Carry the hell on…

Any critics of Tee Morant or LaVar Ball will have a difficult time defending their stance after reading Kendrick Perkins' take on the situation. Perkins is known for always speaking his mind and is never one to hold anything back. Sometimes his takes seem outlandish, but he is speaking straight from the heart in regards to Morant and Ball.

Tee Morant will continue attempting to will his son to victory as Ja Morant and the Grizzlies head to San Francisco to take on the Warriors in a 1-1 series. Upsetting the odds at Oracle is never an easy task but this is a talented Grizzlies team more than capable of getting the job done.
