The Memphis Grizzlies will sign guard MarShon Brooks to a 10-day contract, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.

Brooks was a former first-round pick and has starred in China for past three seasons with the Jiangsu Dragons.

The Providence product played his first two seasons with the New Jersey/Brooklyn Nets, but didn't show much promise following his rookie season, bouncing between the Boston Celtics, the Golden State Warriors, and the Los Angeles Lakers through his third and final season in the league in 2013-14.

Ever since, Brooks has made a name for himself playing overseas, posting an impressive 36.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 2.0 steals per game for the Dragons in 36 games this past season.

The Grizzlies don't have much to play for this season besides the lottery balls that could come their way after the end of the campaign, but they are trying to reel in the most potential talent possible prior to the end of the season.

A 6-foot-5, 200-pound shooting guard, Brooks has career NBA averages of 7.7 points and 2.2 rebounds per game.
