The NBA trade deadline has been crazy, to say the least, and the Memphis Grizzlies were heavily involved in it. They made two trades, with one of those deals sending star big man Marc Gasol to the Toronto Raptors. Memphis also acquired Avery Bradley from the Los Angeles Clippers.

Despite those moves, the Grizzlies have decided to hold on to star point guard Mike Conley. According to a report from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Grizzlies will not be trading Conley this year.

This is a bit of a surprise. Conley had been saying his goodbyes via the media over the last week, but it appears that the team still wants to keep him at the center of their core.

Memphis has re-tooled their roster well, acquiring Jonas Valanciunas from the Raptors to replace Gasol. They also acquired Delon Wright and C.J. Miles in that trade. Bradley is a solid defensive addition to the back-court as well.

Conley has put together a good season for the Grizzlies this year. He has averaged 20.4 points per game to go along with 6.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds. In addition to those numbers, he has shot 43.3 percent from the floor overall and has knocked down 36.5 percent of his three-point attempts.

It will be interesting to see what the Grizzlies do in the offseason. Conley could very well be shopped again.

Regardless of what they do moving forward, Conley is safe for now and will finish out the season with the Grizzlies.
