The Memphis Grizzlies are not only getting younger, but the Western Conference franchise seems to be getting better as well. Adding to the future success of the franchise, the team has formally announced that they picked up their team options for both big man Jaren Jackson Jr. and guard Grayson Allen for the 2020-21 campaign.

It is also worth noting that the up-and-coming Grizzlies have remained busy as of late, electing to waive both forward Ivan Rabb and center Miles Plumlee earlier in the month.

Jackson Jr. was originally selected by the Grizzlies with the No. 4 overall pick in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft out of Michigan State University. The already prolific big man, who is one of the more versatile players in the entire NBA, averaged 13.8 points and 4.7 rebounds over the course of 58 regular season games as a rookie last season.

As a result, Jackson Jr. earned first-team NBA All-Rookie.

On the other hand, Allen has yet to encounter a ton of success at the NBA level after an incredible collegiate career at the heralded Duke University.

The Grizzlies originally acquired Allen in an offseason trade with the Utah Jazz that notably saw veteran point guard Mike Conley make his way out West to Salt Lake City. Allen was previously selected by the Jazz with the 21st overall pick in first round of the 2018 NBA Draft and averaged 5.6 points across 38 regular season games for Utah last season.
