Mike Conley and the Memphis Grizzlies are without question one of the biggest surprises of the 2018-19 NBA season. They are currently 13-9 on the season, which has placed them in first place within the Southwest Division. Unfortunately, the Grizzlies have been on a bit of a down streak, dropping four out of their last five games.

In a recent interview shared by Michael Wallace of Grizzlies.com, Conley talked about the team's struggles and made it clear that the team is not worrying about it just yet:

Conley has bounced back in a big way this season. After struggling with injury issues over the last couple of years, the star point guard has been getting back on the right track this season.

Throughout the first 22 games of the 2018-19 NBA season, Conley has averaged 21.1 points to go along with 6.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game. He has shot 41.8 percent from the floor overall and has knocked down 34.7 percent of his 3-point attempts. Those numbers are a big reason why the Grizzlies have been so solid this season.

Memphis believes it will be able to get things back on track moving forward. The Grizzlies have seen Marc Gasol step up in a big way, while rookie Jaren Jackson Jr. has been developing quickly as well.

Next up for the Grizzlies will be a Wednesday night matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Expect to see Memphis get back to playing the winning brand of basketball it has shown so far this season. Conley and co. have the talent, but they just need to come together and focus on finishing games.
