Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant hurt his knee near the end of their Game 3 loss against the Golden State Warriors, and videos of the contest showed what is believed to be the exact moment he sustained the injury.

Midway through the final quarter, Warriors guard Jordan Poole was seen grabbing the right knee of Morant as they were scrambling for the ball. The Grizzlies guard eventually started limping off and had to exit the game with the Dubs out of reach anyway:

Naturally after the contest, Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins was mad about the play that injured Ja Morant and pinned the blame on Poole and his actions. He also noted that he'll ask the NBA to take a look at it for potential violations, especially since they had Dillon Brooks suspended one game for a flagrant foul that injured Gary Payton II.

As for the condition of the Grizzlies star, Jenkins only noted that he's being evaluated. More details are expected to come out soon:

“He is being evaluated right now. He was going for a loose ball and Jordan Poole grabbed his knee and yanked it. I’m curious to see what happens with that,” Jenkins said, per Drew Hill of the Daily Memphian.

Hopefully, though, Morant's injury is not serious and he won't miss any time. They have already fallen behind again at 2-1 after the 142-112 loss, and the last thing they would want to hear is any bad news on their superstar.
