Despite his stature, Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant has shown his explosiveness and amazing leaping ability. On Tuesday before taking on the Minnesota Timberwolves, the rookie floor general displayed his insane athleticism once again with an epic between-the-legs dunk.

The 20-year-old former Murray State phenom, selected by the Grizzlies with the second overall pick in last June's draft, has made a habit of victimizing opposing players hanging out under the basket with vicious slams.

Certainly, his pre-game dunk will only increase his reputation as a dunker. It could also help his case to be included in the Slam Dunk Contest over the All-Star Weekend in Chicago.

Ja Morant is having a strong debut professional season for Memphis, averaging 17.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.0 steal per game. he is also shooting 47.7 percent from the field, 40.3 percent from deep and 80.1 percent from the free-throw line.

The 6-foot-3 floor general has real hops and could be a challenger in the dunk contest, along with recently returning veteran center and Los Angeles Lakers big man Dwight Howard, who's back in the contest.
