Super rookie Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies showcased his nifty passing and ballhandling skills against the Houston Rockets.

Peep the two possessions below featuring Morant. The first one featured a fake pass then a behind-the-back dime to a rolling Jaren Jackson Jr. In the second possession, not only did Morant come up with the steal, but he also added some sauce to the 3-on-1 fastbreak. After freezing the defense with a crazy behind the back move, Morant dished it off at the last second for the Jackson Jr. spike.

Ja Morant, the second overall pick of the 2019 NBA Draft, filled the stat sheet to end the first half. He had 13 points of a perfect 5-of-5 from the field, along with six assists.

Critics have tagged Morant as the leading Rookie of the Year candidate. The highlight clip above may just be a preview of what he can do once he reaches his full potential.
