With an army of loyal Murray State fans watching at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Friday, Memphis Grizzlies rookie Ja Morant made sure he treated the spectators to a show.

At the 8:13 mark of the third quarter of the Grizzlies' road game versus the Cleveland Cavaliers, Jae Crowder and Morant got on the break and played a perfect two-man game against Collin Sexton.

Crowder evaded the D with a nifty behind-the-back dribble before setting up the streaking Morant with a pin-point alley-oop feed. The athletic 20-year-old did the rest, as he caught the pass with one-hand before delivering a tomahawk jam which gave Memphis a five-point edge, 67-62.

Ja Morant's ferocious jam on Friday added to his growing reel of highlight-worthy dunks this season. Too bad fans won't be seeing more of those come February, as the 6-foot-3 rookie reportedly declined his invitation to participate in the Slam Dunk Competition during the All-Star weekend in Chicago.

Entering Friday's game, Morant is averaging 18.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 6.9 assists while shooting 49.4 percent from the field, 40.7 percent from deep and 80.4 percent from the free-throw line. He is also the frontrunner for the Rookie of the Year award.
