In a game that has been frankly painful due to ineptitude on either side, Josh Jackson of the Memphis Grizzlies produced a rather dispiriting highlight in the second quarter against the Atlanta Hawks.

As can be seen in the video below, the former No. 4 overall pick blew a wide-open dunk in hilarious fashion by going wide left of the rim – a rare feat that you don’t see NBA players make very often.

Again, this game has been typified by ugly turnovers and sloppy, disjointed play overall. While basketball can be beautiful at times, such as Ja Morant smashing home dunks and Trae Young slicing and dicing defenses with preternatural ball-handling wizardry, this blown dunk and the general low level of quality in the Grizzlies-Hawks game could make one want to avert their eyes.

However, if you’re looking for a glorious mess, then the Grizzlies, Hawks and Josh Jackson might have just what the doctor ordered.
