The Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Definitive Edition’s release wasn’t exactly what everyone expected from Rockstar Games. Fans of the franchise were extremely disappointed with how overly underwhelming the remasters turned out to be. Now, Rockstar is trying to make up for their mess by offering a free game to the trilogy owners.

Ever since Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition’s launch, Rockstar Games has been hard at work. Initially, they tried to improve the trilogy to the fans’ standards to meet consumer demand. Then, they ended up offering free copies of the original trilogy to PC players to make it up to them. Now Rockstar is going the extra mile by offering free copies of more modern titles from their library on PC.

GTA: Trilogy owners have the choice to own one of the five offered games:

  • Grand Theft Auto 5: Premium Edition
  • Grand Theft Auto 4: Complete Edition
  • Max Payne 3
  • LA Noire
  • Bully: Scholarship Edition

If players already own all these games or don’t want to acquire them, there’s another option. Rockstar is also offering a Great White Shark Card in Grand Theft Auto Online or 55 gold bars in Red Dead Online.

Sad to say, console players, aren’t getting the same kind of treatment as PC players. However, Xbox users will at least get a free upgrade to the Series X version of the GTA trilogy. Also, keep in mind that this offer will only last up until January 5, 2022. So if you don’t own the game yet, now’s a good time to purchase a copy to avail of this promo. Especially now that the trilogy is currently listed on the holiday sale section in the Rockstar Store for 20% off.
