Josh Naylor is a talented ball player. But perhaps the greatest attribute he brings to the Cleveland Guardians is his passion. The first baseman/outfielder is always ready to get fired up whether it's for something he or a teammate accomplished. A video of Josh Naylor's reaction to his clutch home run against the White Sox went viral following Cleveland's come-from-behind victory on Monday.

As the Guardians social media team stated, Josh Naylor certainly “has that dawg in him.”

However, Naylor apparently had added motivation for his outburst. Chris Rose, a die hard Guardians fan with sources in the organization, revealed what had Naylor so fired up on the “Chris Rose Rotation.”

“I had some people on the ground.” Rose stated. “He said that there was fans getting on him for his ‘dad bod look.'  He apparently was a little embarrassed about it afterward, he didn't love the way he handled it, I'm great with it!”

Chris Rose went on to explain how players should be able to fully express themselves on the field. Josh Naylor undoubtedly quieted the heckling fans who had the audacity to mock him for his appearance.

The Guardians slugger has come a long way after missing a significant portion of 2021 and the beginning of 2022 due to a brutal injury. He became the first player in MLB history to slug a grand slam and a three-run home run in the 9th inning or later while leading the Guardians to a 6-run comeback.

One thing to note is that White Sox manager Tony La Russa features an old-school personality. It is possible that Chicago will retaliate given the intensity of Naylor's post-homer celebration. Tuesday night's rematch between the Guardians and White Sox will be must-watch baseball.
