Halo Infinite fans made their wishes and concerns known and now these have finally been heard! After players expressed frustration about the game's Battle Pass progression system, 343 Industries will soon roll out changes to XP payouts for the game. Here's a guide to the updates and how this could help you level up faster in Halo Infinite‘s Battle Pass.

The community has been very vocal about the frustrations with the Battle Pass. Halo Infinite does not give experience for racking up kills or assists. At the moment, players can only level up through completing in-game challenges or using XP boosts, making accumulating XP a frankly tedious process. This was especially evident during the Fracture:Tenrai event, which allowed players to complete missions and unlock Yorai armor. However, with such a slow process of XP gain, the experience just turned out to be frustrating as fans tried to acquire these event items.

Recently, 343 has responded to community feedback, outlining changes to the Battle Pass system set to go live soon. Already, the developers tuned down or removed the more difficult weekly challenges as well as added a simple challenge of just playing one game to help players gain XP at a faster rate.

Next slated for launch in Halo Infinite are more changes. This time, 343 developers will directly increase the XP payouts for the first six matches played every day.

New Halo Infinite Battle Pass scheme:

  • 1st Game = 300XP
  • 2nd Game = 200XP
  • 3rd Game = 200XP
  • 4th Game = 100XP
  • 5th Game = 100XP
  • 6th Game = 100XP
  • 7th+ Game = 50XP

This will definitely be a huge boost for players, giving them much more XP upfront even if they only play a few games per day. Plus, it could incentivize players to keep coming back to Halo Infinite and play daily to maximize the amount of XP they gain and level up quickly. Hopefully, the community will take a liking to these improvements. At the very least, it seems that 343 are paying close attention to feedback from the playerbase. This update is not the end of it though, with 343 promising more changes on the horizon for the Battle Pass system.

“We know many of you want even larger changes and we’re committed to doing so, but those will take time,” said John Junyszek, Halo Infinite Community Manager, in a tweet. “We made this update based on data and player feedback, and we’ll monitor its impact after we push it live.”
